cared and sensitised people, especially mothers and children

Malnutrition is a deep wound in South Sudan. It causes deaths and mental and physical disabilities. To prevent it, key measures are about children growth monitoring, treatment of gastro intestinal infections, supply of micronutrient and vaccinations. Mothers and children with moderate malnutrition are cared through distribution of food. Severely malnourished children are treated in one of our 4 Stabilisation Center for complicated cases management and our 13 center for outpatient procedure.

Severely malnourished children without medical complicances are cared in villages through periodically outpatient and ready to use therapeutic food administration. In these communities we prepare the ground against malnutrition: active involvement of families to promote healthcare and nutritional good practices, information to the popolution about active healthcare services to promote use.

With South Sudanese Ministry of Health, Tonj East and South County Healthcare Department and local communities.
