Boresha Maisha! Alternative life in Nairobi
CCM is present in Nairobi, with the project named “Boresha Maisha. Alternative life for street children and underage refugees in Nairobi”, whose leading NGO is GRT-Gruppo per le Relazioni Transculturali. Its objective is to facilitate the access to institutional welfare in the target areas (slums of Eastleigh and Mlango Kubwa) to street children and underage refugees.
In particular, the projects aims at:
Establishing social and health protection mechanisms, rehabilitation and reintegration of street children and urban refugee children in Mlango Kubwa and Eastleigh;
Strengthening and improving the quality of social and health related services for vulnerable groups
Sensitizing those communities to social and health-related hardships through the empowerment of street children and underage refugees, especially through sport
Capacity building the local authorities in order to strengthen assistance to street children and underage refugees.
